PSU Education Conference

Prince of Songkla University (PSU) places significant focus on developing teaching and learning to be more efficient, by encouraging lecturers, educational personnel and students to exchange knowledge and experiences on educational and research management. Therefore, to address this aim, the Education Conference has been continually arranged by PSU.

This year, Prince of Songkla University organizes the 11th PSU Education Conference under the topic “Academic Honesty in Disruptive Education: a Challenge to Global Citizens”, since the university recognizes that technological advancement has resulted in widespread changes in the economy, society, environment and culture. These changes make the lifestyle more competitive while ethically diminishing, as in the case of hiring others to create academic works, or making use of the plagiarism, research falsification, forgery of expense reimbursement or qualification documents, biased scoring, and so on. These behaviors may lead to fraud and misconduct at the workplace too. Consequently, Prince of Songkla University highly emphasizes on the importance of creating a culture of morality and ethics in the educational institutions.

In this connection, the theme of the 11th PSU Education Conference, the “Academic Honesty in Disruptive Education: a Challenge to Global Citizens”, aims to create a change by focusing on raising awareness and promoting knowledge and understanding on the academic integrity. This will enable participants to apply the knowledge gained as a guideline and practice leading to moral creation by using their own abilities, and also transfer the knowledge on the academic integrity towards the development of teaching and learning quality, leading to morality in the future. Furthermore, the conference also comprises academic exchanges related to teaching and learning on various topics.
